EC Media's Wink eBook reader

EC Media has launched what we can say is the second eBook reader launched in the Indian market. (Read about the first one: Infibeam.com Unveils Phi – An Internet Enabled Media Device).

They call this new device Wink.

Four models are planned out of which two are on sale right now:

Wink XTR
Wink XTS
Wink X3G
Wink X3G+

The device supports as many as 15 languages and also has on offer more than 200,000 eBooks.

The company is also offering its own eBook store at thewinkstore.com.

EC Media said: “With the launch of Wink, we aim to revolutionize the way people read. Wink will allow readers to access their favorite content anytime, anywhere, that, too, in the language of their choice.”

They are working with a couple of publishers to bring more content to this reader. Some of their partners include Penguin, Roli, Oxford University, Harper Collins and Permanent Black.
